KATHY’S "expressive voice can extract the essence out of a song the way a magician pulls a rabbit out of a hat" as revealed on the video counterpart of her single, “Someone’s In Love”, featured on the soundtrack of the film “CINCINNATI - The Movie",  awarded an EMMY, a TELLY and three International Film and Television Festival awards.  

KATHY opened for Dionne Warwick, Cleo Laine, Nancy Wilson, Diane Schuur, Shirley Horn, Anita Baker, Kenny G, Whitney Houston, David Sanborn, George Benson, Al Jarreau, Stephanie Mills, Jonathan Butler, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Will Downing, Najee and Ramsey Lewis. 

"A nuclear reactor where her vocal chords should be", KATHY knocked the audiences off their feet at the Jazz on the River Festival, Alexandria, LA; Springfield Music Festival, Springfield, OH; Schomburg Museum in Harlem; made four appearances at the country’s largest R&B festival, Coors Festival in Cincinnati; gave a standing room only performance at the prestigious South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas; Kennedy Center with Lionel Hampton; New York's Sweetwater's and Washington's IBEX Club.  Touring throughout the United States, Canada, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Caribbean and LensCrafters Give The Gift of Sight International Program, Tunisia, North Africa, KATHY was guest performer with the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra with former conductor Keith Lockhart and the Northern Kentucky Symphony.

KATHY, twice voted Best Singer by Cincinnati Magazine stars in her debut PBS special, “KATHY WADE, Jazzstruck”, co-produced the Instructional Television production of her educational program, Black Anthology of Music.

 KATHY is the 2005 Leadership Cincinnati Distinguished Alumni 2004 City Beat CEA Best Jazz Artist, a Cincinnati Enquirer Woman of the Year, YWCA Career Woman of Achievement prestigious Cincinnati Post-Corbett Award recipient, 2004 College-Conservatory of Music William Lawless Jones Jazz Award and City Beat’s sixth most influential person in the arts.  KATHY, who holds a Master of Arts from the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati, entertains over 850,000 participants of Learning Through Art, Inc. performing arts presentations.  KATHY wins rave reviews for her work in Ain’t Misbehavin’, the 60’s review, Beehive; Crowns at Tony recipient Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park; Crowns at the Repertory Theater of  St. Louis and guest performer in the national tour of The Vagina Monologues.
